We’re Banging The Drum For Small Business

It’s hard to believe that we’re only two months into the year. Already we’ve been involved in some exciting roundtables, events and projects, ranging from developments at our copywriting agency to important meetings in London.

As usual, much of this centres around the thing we’re so passionate about: banging the drum for small business by representing the little voices in the big world of enterprise.

So what’s made February so fascinating? Let us fill you in on what we’ve been doing, and what’s on the horizon:

Telling it straight to the Treasury

Kicking off the month in style, we began February with a trip to the Treasury, where our Director Kelly joined a roundtable of business leaders to discuss the issues affecting small ventures across the country.

With the Self-Assessment deadline having just passed, and the Making Tax Digital consultation hot off the press, there was no shortage of things to talk about… Jane Ellison MP, in particular, was receptive to our comments, and we hope some of the feedback from members of the roundtable will be taken into consideration!

Encouraging young people into business

We’re always shouting about the benefits of introducing young people to enterprise, so we were thrilled to be asked to share our insights with the Federation of Small Businesses.

The video gives you a glimpse of our copywriters at work, as well as our thoughts on why starting young is such a good idea. If you haven’t seen it already, be sure to take a look!

Celebrating International Women’s Day

Earlier this month, we hosted the inaugural women in enterprise networking event on behalf of FSB Manchester, alongside the lovely Heather Gray of Avensure.

The evening was a sell-out, and we had some amazing feedback from our guests, so we decided to throw another in celebration of International Women’s Day on the 8th March. Join us at Veeno to hear the amazing stories of Sandy Lindsay MBE and Caroline Stevenson.

Marketing On The Menu comes to Manchester

Last year, we teamed up with BizWizUK to host a free marketing seminar for the food and drink industry in London. Following the success of the first event, we decided to bring it up North.

This time, we’ve joined forces with Bloomin’ Creative and Webantic, to give decision-makers in hospitality a flavour of how multi-channel marketing can take their brands to the next level. Sound like the boost you need? Join us…

We can’t wait to spring into March, especially with these fantastic events to look forward to. And as our client base continues to grow, we’ve got some exciting plans in the pipeline.

Want to hear all about them? We’d love to know what you’ve been up to… get in touch with our Manchester copywriters to bring us up to speed, and discuss how we can help you spread the word about your brand.
