The Write Way Forward: Our Goings-On This May
This May, we bid goodbye to our old premises on Thompson Street, and welcomed a new member into the company. And when we’ve not been crafting great copy for our clients, Kelly’s been sinking into more roles as a business ambassador, as per usual.
There’s so much to talk about, we thought we’d spill the beans, and tell you why our copywriting services are leaping up a level.
New digs in Manchester’s NQ
Anyone who stuck their heads in our old office would have found a warm welcome, and a range of exotic teas to dip in their mug. As much as we liked it, however, it just didn’t seem right for our expansion plans.
Cue our box-fresh writing pad on Thomas Street! Sitting above Odd Bar in Binks Building, it’s a two-floor space with wall-mounted TVs, a separate meeting room, and a crystal-clear music system. In physical terms, we can sit and brainstorm with our clients like never before, as well as look ahead to a significantly bigger writing force. Speaking of which…
Meet Gareth, our latest recruit!
Making You Content thrives on invention and a love of language – that’s just what we found in Gareth when he joined the freelance team in 2016. In fact, we liked him so much, we invited him to come on board full time!
Hailing from Wrexham, he has a wealth of experience, setting him in great stead to service our ever-growing client base. We’ve really taken a shine to him, and we expect you will too!
Making ourselves a little bit famous…
This month, our Kelly was asked to take part in Make Yourself A Little Bit Famous, an event hosted by Sue France and Penny Haslam on the 11th May, in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. Their goal was to examine what helps people achieve real gravitas in their professional image.
Kelly sat on a panel with other women in business, sharing her views on composure, confidence and the will to be taken seriously. She loved every second of it; the whole day was amazing, and she learned much from her fellow panelists, Naomi Campbell, Louise Oliver and Liz Southall.
Get prepared for National Freelancers Day
Our brand was born out of freelancing, and we’re still sensitive to the trials of establishing yourself in self-employment. So we’re delighted to be speaking at National Freelancers Day, which this year is being celebrated at London’s King’s Palace on the 8th June.
Come along to get your teeth into masterclasses, workshops, and discussions about the sector in a post-Brexit economy. You can even watch Kelly divulge some secrets of the freelancer/client relationship, if you’re in need of a pep-talk.
