The Secret to Quality Content? Listen Closely…

Copywriting agency

The 10 week Christmas countdown has begun! Like us, you’re no doubt snowed under already with the build-up to the festive season, from updating your web design with jolly banners to creating content for new Christmas stock. Speaking of which, did you read our recent blog post on product descriptions?

It’s been another busy month since our September newsletter, with a whirlwind of exciting developments that we’ve been eager to share with you. So if you’ve got a moment to spare, why not discover what’s been happening at Making You Content?

Copywriting Training – Complete!

At the start of the summer, we were approached by another Manchester agency with an exciting opportunity. Having recently hired a copywriter for their team, they were looking for someone to give her one-on-one training.

Several months later, and we’ve come a long way. Beth’s writing skills have blossomed, and it’s been a fantastic experience for Making You Content. We’ve loved working with her so much, that she’s joined our freelancer team in her spare time!

Here’s what Beth had to say about our copywriting training:

The training I received from Kelly at Making You Content has been invaluable in honing and expanding my skills as a Copywriter. My knowledge of SEO Optimised Content, Product Descriptions and B2B Email Marketing has improved dramatically…

I quickly developed the skills needed to produce fantastic online and offline content. I would highly recommend Making You Content for any Copywriters looking to expand their skill set.

IPSE Freelancer Awards

If you read our last newsletter, you’ll know how excited we were about the stream of awards we were shortlisted for! Well, we’ve since discovered that our founder, Kelly, has been shortlisted for the IPSE Freelancer of the Year Award.

One of five finalists in the Aspire (23 and under) category, the awards recognise up-and-coming freelancers who are making a contribution to the industry. A freelancer copywriter at heart, we’ve got our fingers crossed for the ceremony in November!

The Secrets of Quality Content

Our clients are always asking why content is important, and how copywriting can help them achieve their objectives. Indeed, when investing in a content marketing strategy, you want to be sure that it doesn’t miss the mark. Earlier this month, Kelly had a long interview with Women’s Prospects founder, Anna Dergohokasian, tackling the key questions that businesses face when marketing their brand.

The podcast, How Quality Content Can Build Your Online Presence, will be featured by Women’s Prospects early next year. Keep an eye out for the official date over the coming months!

We told you it had been an exciting month. With the IPSE Freelancer Awards judging day later this month, along with the ceremony for the Forward Ladies Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, we can’t wait to update you again in a few weeks. In the meantime, don’t forget to start fine-tuning your marketing strategy for the run-up to Christmas – it’s going to come round fast!
