Copywriting Conduct: What We’ve Been Up To This September
Autumn might be digging itself into a comfortable position, but we’re still full of energy as 2016 slips into somnambulant nights and harsher winds, pens at the ready. Aside from the thousands upon thousands of words we’ve strung together this September, we’ve been working on some other cool projects too.
Our round-up this month is as varied as ever, with new opportunities galore and a key event just round the corner. Let’s dive in, shall we?
#MYTA Nomination
As if our award-winning status wasn’t enough, Kelly’s only gone and been nominated for the MYTA (Manchester Young Talent Awards in the Rising Star category. She’s on the shortlist with 5 other entrepreneurs who’ve clawed their way to professional success, all of whom are between 18-26 years of age.
The ceremony will be held at The Imperial War Museum on the 17th November. Over 300 people will be turning up in their best glad rags, and a handful of charities, such as Action Against Hunger and Challenge For Change, will be drumming up support for some worthy causes. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates!
Prepare Your Palette! Marketing On The Menu Is Almost Here…
It’s been our brainchild for a long time, and we’ve watched it take shape and grow into something truly unmissable. Yes: Marketing On The Menu, our culinary-themed business seminar, is taking place this coming Thursday on the 29th September. It’s been incredible to see the glut of attention this first-time event has received.
We’ve arranged goodie bags for all our guests to get stuck into, brimming with a stash of Yelp products, alongside beautiful craft beer by Innis & Gunn and Love Cocoa chocolate, all of which exemplify the fine art of promotion we’ll be talking about on the day. Hopefully, like us, you’ll be relishing the chance to chew apart some fantastic marketing insight.
Filming With The FSB
As we settle into our appointment with the Women In Enterprise Taskforce, the FSB sent a film crew along to our office, capturing a day in the life of our copywriting agency. With a camera at their side, and some ultra-professional lighting arrangements, they interviewed our Director, Kelly, and took footage of the Making You Content team in action.
Kelly was asked about her experience as a young businesswoman, what challenges she came up against, and any inspirational advice she can give to others like her. Watch this space – the finished video will be available to see by the end of the year.
As Making You Content starts making strides towards the end of the year, we’re bowled over by everything 2016 has brought us so far. And there’s still a couple of months to go!
