A Fond Farewell To An Eventful Summer…
August is nearly up, and that can only mean one thing. Summer is bowing out gracefully, and autumn is following in its footsteps. As far as we’re concerned though, it’s a case of “gone but not forgotten”. Our Manchester copywriters have had another momentous month, and our diaries are already filling up for September.

Making headlines with Freshwalks
One of the best things about the Manchester business community is its diversity. And not just in terms of the organisational makeup – networking events range from Food’n’Film meetups to quizzes and ‘betworking’. Freshwalks is up there with our favourites, and if you’ve been before you’ll likely have met Josh, Gareth or Kelly on your travels.
This month, our Kelly spent her Saturday trekking through the Peak District, as Freshwalks passed the 20,000km milestone. The walk made it into the Manchester Evening News, which you can read all about here.
Meet the Manchester Business Sorority
As proud members of the newly established Manchester Business Sorority, Making You Content has been amongst the movement championing women in business all over the UK. We thoroughly enjoyed the inaugural event, hosted by Heather Gray of Avensure, last month, and look forward to plenty more events in the pipeline.

Mingle with Members is back
Our Binks Building played host to the first ever Mingle With Members networking event last month. Held in association with the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), the evening proved to be such a winner that we’re bringing it back for a second showing on 31st August.
Just like last time, tickets are £10 (including two drink tokens) and are available via Eventbrite or on the door. We hope to see you there for a few after-work drinks in our office!
MEG opens its doors
Manchester Enterprise Group is a networking event we absolutely love, and we’ve continued to link arms with over 20 fellow members since the group’s formation earlier this year. In fact, we’re proud to write the MEG weekly roundup, giving a de-brief on the meetings to everyone in the network.
Held at Cloud 23 at Hilton Hotel on Deansgate, MEG meetings take place between 7am and 9am every Thursday. Some of the city’s fastest growing businesses are in attendance each week, including MYC. On September 14, the group are hosting a Visitor’s Day. Everyone is welcome, so why not tag along and meet some invaluable contacts?
