Founded in 2016 by brothers Phil and Tom Beahon from their kitchen table, Castore began with a simple mission: to create the premium sportswear they felt was missing from the market. Today, they’re the preferred kit partner of heritage teams like West Ham, Everton, and England Rugby, with 12 physical stores across the country and a 500-strong headcount.

Why did Castore need MYC?

When Castore first partnered with MYC, they were experiencing their first bout of accelerated growth. Initially operating as a team of 150 employees, they swiftly doubled in size. With this in mind, the biggest hurdle they were facing was effectively scaling their operations to align with demand – all while upholding the quality and consistency of their content output.

MYC was brought to Castore’s attention by a trusted source, and after some thorough research into our background and reputation for delivering exceptional content, the team were confident that we were the agency for their needs.

From tone of voice to thousands of descriptions

We hit the ground running, collaborating closely with Castore to help shape the brand’s tone of voice. By facilitating a workshop and creating a guideline document, we ensured it aligned with Castore’s target audience and fostered a brand identity that resonates.

This laid the foundations to deliver on-brand product descriptions at scale when launching new collections. Our team delivered over 3,000 descriptions in year one of our partnership, working closely with their internal team to manage content delivery and feedback loops. By beginning the process with a detailed analysis of product CADs and technical specifications, we ensured every description accurately reflected the innovation and craftsmanship behind each product.

The fabric of a sportswear giant 

Over the past few years, we’ve continued to support Castore’s ecommerce team with key launches, including teamwear for the football season. MYC works behind the scenes to guarantee that every kit and collection drop is given the attention to detail it deserves – including short- and long-form campaign copy to be used across Castore’s website and relevant touchpoints. Together we’ve delivered over 5,000 product descriptions for the likes of Everton, Harlequins, Saracens, and many more.
